Experts suggest solutions to energy crisis



STAFF REPORT ISB: The Air University has recently organized an International Colloquium at the main campus Islamabad in order to discuss the energy policies.

Chief guest of the opening ceremony was Dr Yahya Khwja, Member IT and SandT, Planning Commission of Pakistan.

Dr Yahya termed the holding of the conference a right step in right direction and appreciated the Air University for its proactive role in dissemination of knowledge and arrangements of International Colloquium and Conference on energy related issues.

He also said that it is a commendable job that other than routine academic activities; Air University is also playing vital role through such an event to address the core national issue.

“Air University is committed to providing quality education, research-oriented atmosphere with a responsible role in the society to contribute towards the national issues,” said Vice Chancellor Air University, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Faaiz Amir.

He also said that since energy is an international dilemma more so for Pakistan in the recent years therefore, such conferences are very useful especially when researchers come-up with logical solutions and alternative modes.

Conference Chair Prof. Dr. Afzaal Malik introduced the international and national invited speakers with their expertise in the energy systems and policies. Later, the speakers delivered lectures and shared their research experiences.
