PSF, UoP, IRP set to hold invention to innovation summits

STAFF REPORT ISB: Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), University of the Punjab and Institute of Research Promotion (IRP) are set to sign an agreement for organizing Annual Invention to Innovation Summits aimed at establishing strong university-industry linkages in Pakistan.

It was decided at a meeting among Chairman PSF Prof. Dr. Ashraf, Director ORIC, University of the Punjab, Dr. Aamir Ejaz, and Chief Executive Officer, IRP, Abid Sherwani in the PSF premises.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ashraf stressed upon the importance of annual Invention to Innovation summits held consecutively in last four years jointly by PSF, University of the Punjab and IRP.

He said that their collaborations documentation is imperative in the wake of increasing interest of industrialists, academia and RandD organizations for organizing the upcoming summits more systematically.

A joint summit committee, forms of cooperation, fund generation and expenses were discussed in the meeting.

It was decided that an agreement in this regard will be signed soon by the heads of the three organizations.
