STAFF REPORT PESH: The Poultry Farms Association has demanded of the government to revise rates of feed as per reduction in prices of petroleum products in the country, urging the authorities to take action against feed mills who are charging high rates of poultry feed.

“The poultry feed rates were not changed despite the substantial decrease in prices of petroleum products over the past couple of months,” said Haji Fazl Malik, PFA KP President, while addressing a news conference in Peshawar. He said high poultry feed rates also play a role in increase of chicken price, which directly affect common man and made inaccessible to buy the chicken meat.

He accused the feed mills owners of not reducing rates, and gained more profit by charging high prices to small poultry farmers, which he termed illegal and quite injustice with them.
