Press Release: Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr. Farrukh Javed has said that Khadim-e-PunjabRuralRoads Program will bring a silent revolution in rural areas of Punjab. He said that this project is the biggest project in the history of Pakistan for the construction and rehabilitation of ruralroads. The project is being implemented speedily and a huge amount of 150 billion rupees will be spent on this project during next three years, he added. He said this mega project is of vital importance for progress of ruralareas and will prove to be a game changer forruraleconomy.


Dr. Farrukh Javed was addressing a farmers delegation in his office today. The Minister assured the farmers that government is implementing merit policy in wheat procurement campaign. He said that Punjab government has launched a mega project of repair and rehabilitation ofroadsof ruralareas at a cost of billions of rupees and this project is of vital importance for the promotion of economic and trade activities in theruralareas. He said that farmers and the people of villages will directly benefit from this project which will also provide job opportunities to thousands of people. He said that this project will result in better facilities to the farmers, cultivators and people ofruralareas.


He said that Farm to Market RoadProgram is a milestone in the development ofruralareas and millions of people of these areas will benefit from this project. He said that under Khadam-e-Punjab RuralRoadsProgram, construction and rehabilitation ofruralroadshas been started with huge amount of Rs. 150 billion throughout the province. The purpose of Khadam-e-Punjab RuralRoadsProgram is to provide access of better health and educational facilities to theruralpopulation. Due to high standard ofruralareas, fuel and time will be saved and comfortable journey will be available to the people of the area while the profit of farmers and villagers will increase through easy access of their markets. He said that this program has been evolved under the vision, “Pakkian Sarkan-Saukhay Painday” and that itll improve the living standards of people living inruralareas.
