Staff Report RWP: A meeting between Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad Vice Chanellor Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) and Lee Sang Mu, CEO Korean Rural Community Corporation (KRC) was held recently in which the collaborative efforts in improving agriculture field through capacity building programs, workshops, trainings, RandD and development was taken into account. The training of farmers to get them familiar with technology to propel yield was also discussed.


In his inaugural speech VC PMAS-AAUR warmly welcomed the KRC delegates and detailed the programs, activities, and contributions of university in the field of capacity building, research and development for the improvement of agricultural sector and building foremost well trained human resource to serve in agriculture industry.


He said that the university was proactively engaged in extension activities and was working with the farmers to focus on the agricultural development of small farmers. “University is playing its pivotal role to bring all stakeholders of agriculture sector at one platform for the development of agriculture in the country,” he further said.


Lee Sang Mu also addressed to the participants and acknowledged the contributions of PMAS-AAUR particularly in agriculture sector and assured his full support and urged to work in collaboration for elevating agri sector of Pakistan.
