STAFF REPORT ISB: A training workshop on “Processing and Analysis of Data for Surveys/Assessment” was held. The focus of the workshop was to impart knowledge of various techniques used for acquisition and analysis of agriculture related data.


Federal Minister for Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR), Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan was the chief guest who said that although Information Technology (IT) and Geographic Information System (GIS) have eased many areas of data analysis but still data collection remains a challenge that need to be addressed.


He further said, “Maintenance of necessary statistics related to food and agriculture sector have great importance as it leads to successful policies. Research is an ongoing process and the availability of reliable data is a pre-requisite to get logical research results that paves the path for accurate policy making tailored to the needs.”
