Intel to provide ICT trainings

STAFF REPORT KHI: Intel Pakistan has joined hands with USAID and Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh in order to improve the education system of the province from bottom level with prime focus on Information Technology (IT) and ICT.

Under the agreement Intel Pakistan will provide ICT based trainings to teachers in 120 newly established schools in interior Sindh and some parts of Karachi in order to promote IT literacy in far flung and underprivileged areas.

Naveed Siraj, Country Manager Intel Pakistan said on the ceremony, “Intel will train at least 800 government teachers, 4,000 students and 4,000 out-of-school adolescent and adults to develop their proficiencies in the effective use of ICT in school education / literacy and daily life over the period of three years.”
