HEC announces special programme to promote professional education in FATA & Baluchistan

STAFF REPORT ISB: In order to promote professional education in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Baluchistan, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has promulgated to launch a special programme to attain the objective swiftly.

“HEC is striving towards promotion of professional education in FATA and Baluchistan. We have reserved 29 seats in medical colleges and 55 seats in engineering universities across the country for the students belonging to aforementioned areas”, representative of HEC told the media.

The candidates will be selected through a competitive National Testing Service (NTS) test which will be held in different cities i.e. Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi, and Quetta. It is also noteworthy that HEC had already provided scholarships to as many as 2000 students from FATA and Baluchistan and is committed to expand that number.
