STAFF REPORT KHI: The 8th summer internship programme which was instigated by International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi concluded. The internship stressed on familiarizing the youth in practically applying their science and technology knowledge. The training helped participants and added luster and proficiency in their knowledge bank.


A certificate award ceremony was held in ICCBS for the appreciation of internees who successfully completed the internship. Prof Dr Iqbal Chaudhary, Director ICCBS was present on the occasion as chief guest. He said while addressing to students, “Youth is the asset of any nation and Pakistan is a fortunate country to have a youth which is brimming with awe inspiring talent; converting talent to synergy is what the institutions are working hard for SandT capacity building to meet the future challenges of country”.


The summer internship is started each year by ICCBS to stir the knowledge of youth and give them exposure in SandT sector. The internship programmes are significant in transpiring inspiration to youth and engaging them in different tasks in different labs and pushing them towards research and development. It also enhances the young scholars communication skills and professional attributes which help them in later stages of their career.
