Coca-Cola extends funding for environmental sustainability project


STAFF REPORT LHR: Coca-Cola Foundation and World Wide Fund Pakistan (WWF-Pak) have taken joint initiatives for environmental sustainability and natural conservation. Coca-Cola has moved to intensify the mutual bond of cooperation by approving grant of $ 90,500 for year 2015-16.


According to the Coca-Cola sources this project is the longest running corporate funded project designed for environmental sustainability.

It is pertinent to mention here that the project was launched in year 2008 and since then the total funding provided by Coca-Cola till now has exceeded $ 886,000.


The climate change is a horrific challenge that Pakistan is posed to. The other corporate sector also needs to rise up and play its role in mollifying the copious issue of climate change due to which every year heavy economic losses are inflicted on Pakistan.
