CIIT signs agreement with DRDF to provide technical trainings

STAFF REPORT SAHIWAL: The dairy and livestock production is an important field and much of the development need to be fetched into it in order to bring it at par. COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dairy and Rural Development Foundation (DRDF) for the sake of capacity building and training staff in order to achieve sustainable development of livestock sector.

Speaking on the occasion Professor Dr Abdul Waheed, Director CIIT Sahiwal, said, “The MoU shoulders responsibility on CIIT to train master trainers of USAID-DRDF through exclusive trainings, workshops and various other activities. The short certifications will also be offered in this regard by the University for the Staff to help them transform the lives of rural communities in Punjab”.

Dr Salman Shah, DRDF Chairman exalted the initiative and termed it as a milestone towards progression of the sector and empowerment of youth. He said, “This MoU is not only a paper deal but a certainty for a brighter future of livestock and dairy sector, as the trained staff will practically apply the learned knowledge through these trainings offered by CIIT”.
