STAFF REPORT ISB: A national conference on Quality Education and Training for Socio-Economic Development of Pakistan was held to highlight the important advancement in education sector and technical education for bringing socio-economic change. The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in collaboration with the German, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH organized the event.


Federal Minister of State for Education and Professional Training Baligh-ur-Rehman was the chief guest on the occasion. He praised the backing of Germany in advancement of technical training in Pakistan and curriculum designing and several other initiatives. He said, “The government is resolved to bestow quality training to country`s youth so they find themselves able to contribute for the improvement of Pakistan and the world. He said with current government’s endeavors, the proficiency rate has been expanded from 58% to 60%, while the achievement of basic training has expanded from 68% to 72%”.


It was noticed that the education departments in all provinces and territories have been attempting deliberate endeavors towards enhancements in these components. The socio-economic change is a long drawn procedure, one that involves tolerance and reliable endeavors in accordance with the vision cherished in national goals.
