ITU launches global standard tech magazine

STAFF REPORT LHR: The Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore has unleashed the first local release of MIT Technology Review magazine amid a function held at Arfa Software Technology. The motivation behind the magazine is to promote technological advancements in the country.

Present on the occasion, Vice Chancellor ITU, Dr Umar Saif said, “It is our privilege to promulgate that the ITU is the maiden IT University of Pakistan of its kind and also the first to launch a world standard IT magazine from Pakistan”.

Chairman Higher Education Commission, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad also hailed the starting of MIT Technology Review and pronounced the occasion as way softening up the histories of Pakistani colleges and trusted the Tech Review would turn into a model for others in the field of global scholastic and scientific research and grant.

The Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal was present on the event as chief guest. He said while commenting on the launching of MIT Technology Review, “MIT is an innovation hub of the world and its linkage with ITU will unite Pakistan to a Knowledge pioneer society other than giving stage to showcase Pakistan’s advancement and issues in innovation. Advancement of Science and Technology, ICT part, Innovation and Entrepreneurship are key mainstays of Vision 2025 to constitute a knowledge based economy. Pakistan will soon rise as a noteworthy Technology center of the world”.
