STAFF REPORT KHI: The employment of graduates must be traversed by the academia endeavors through linkages with industry. One such ‘Job Fair has been initiated by Sindh Agriculture University (SAU). The three-day job fair aims to convey reputed companies to take on spot interviews and selecting candidates for capacity building and various training programmes. The job fair is sorted out in a joint effort with Higher Education Commission (HEC) and USAID.


During the inaugural ceremony of the event, SAU Vice Chancellor Dr Mujeebuddin Memon urged graduates to leave desires for landing government positions and show. He said, “There is a mentality that individuals need to have government jobs. But this mindset has to be reversed and competitiveness must be instilled in the students and they must compete at provincial, national and international levels to get jobs on merit rather than seeking short cuts”.


The occasion pulled in SAU graduates, the academia and industry, identified with horticulture area, senior members of diverse resources, HEC authorities, eminent business figures etc. They shared their encounters and urged university graduates to contend on the country`s job market.
