STAFF REPORT ISB: The Pakistan Engineering Council has held hands with the disaster management authority to take a shot at change and prerequisite of Fire and Safety Codes at the chamber.


A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was surfaced between the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The MoU grants PEC to wear down reforms of Fire and Safety Codes in examination with all material National and Provincial authorities and accomplices and ought to get prepared last draft by May 2016 for support/confirming by Law Division. The MoU was inked by Chairman NDMA Major General Asghar Nawaz and newly appointed Chairman PEC Engineer Javed Salim Qureshi in presence of senior NDMA and PEC officials. The codes will be track premise in eight months and financed through National Disaster Management Fund (NDMF).
