STAFF REPORT RWP: The Pir Mehr Ali Shah-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) celebrated World Food Day with an attempt to raise awareness about hunger challenges and guarantee food security.
This year, the topic of the World Food Day is ‘Social Protection and Agriculture: Breaking the Cycle of Rural Poverty,’ which means to sharpen individuals about destroying country destitution and guaranteeing food insurance for all. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) observes World Food Day on October 16, the day on which the Organization was established in 1945. PMAS-AAUR Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad was the chief guest on the event.
Prof Dr Rai Niaz Ahmed, talking on the event, focused on the requirement for concentrating on quality expansion of rural create and said that there is desperate need to upgrade the endeavors in such manner to guarantee the food security.
The day was checked by daylong exercises including level headed discussion, blurb, article composing and nourishment cooking rivalries, sorted out by PMAS-AAUR in a joint effort with GROW and Indus Consortium.
