STAFF REPORT PEW:The provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province has formally dispatched the ‘Insaf Food Security Program’ under which wheat seeds will be dispersed to ranchers. The project is an edifying endeavor to ensure the food security and accessibility of appropriate assets to the farmer’s group keeping in mind the end goal to support the farming needs and create distinctive sustenance wares in more prominent amounts with enhanced nutritious worth.
Senior authority of the project has said, “The Insaf Food Program is a milestone accomplishment of the incumbent government and it would help agriculturists as well as boosting wheat production up to 186,000 tons. Wheat seeds were disseminated among agriculturists on the event”.
As per the sources, it is said that no less than 1,068,000 farmers will be the potential beneficiary from the three-year plan. Any farmer having one to three acres of land will be furnished with 50kg of verified seeds with no charges.
The farmer community has also hailed the project and deemed that it will be helpful for them in many ways and extending their income through increased yield.
