STAFF REPORT FSB: A three-day international workshop on Renewable Energy Technology for Community Development was organized in order to highlight the importance of utilization of renewable energy sources in special connection of community development. The event was organized by University of Faisalabad (UAF) in partnership with DAAD Germany.


UAF Vice Chancellor, Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan presided over the session. He said while communicating the vitality of renewable energy sources in community development, “Pakistan can possibly deliver power through 81 million tons of bio-mass, 720 million kg of creature manure, notwithstanding utilizing wind and solar based energy. Through wind energy, 20,000MW power can be generated”.


The members valued the progression of government to beat the energy crisis. It was likewise notified that the administration was setting up the Punjab Bio Energy Institute at the UAF that will advance bio vitality.


Dr Uwe Richter from University of Kassel, Germany, said that renewable energy can battle the expanding level of contamination.
