STAFF REPORT ISB: Pakistan and Tajikistan renew their bilateral relation through agreements for extended cooperation on energy, defense and commerce sector. The executives of both countries i.e. Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and President, Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon joined in the meet at Islamabad and signed 7 agreements in various fields including energy, industrial sectors, science and technology, geology, and defense.


According to the agreements, joint projects will be launched for energy and infrastructure development and strengthening the defense through extensive RandD.


Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif during his talk with the Tajik President emphasized on need of technological and scientific advancements and termed that both countries had a splendid opportunity to beat the poverty through scientific and technological advancements and sustainable development in various fields including climate change, natural resource management, defense, industrial uplifting etc.


Tajik President dilated that Pakistan had an immense potential to come at par with developed nations and Tajikistan has always shared brotherly relationship with the country and ushering it into a new age, these agreements will come down a long way for national development and economic revival of both countries.
