MONITORING REPORT ISB: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan Farukh Amil has stressed for establishing close linkages between the universities and students of Japan and Pakistan.


He said this at a dinner hosted at Pakistan residence for over 40 Pak academicians, intelligentsia, scholars and researchers.


The academicians have recently visited Japan to pursue research and higher studies in different disciplines especially in science and technology there.


NBP General Manager Ashfaq Khan, PIA Country Manager Abdul Jawad Khan, Pakistan Students Association of Japan (PSAJ) President Baber Sajjad and Post-doctoral Fellow Dr Muhammad Ibrahim were among those present on the occasion.


The visit was a part of the embassy’s public diplomacy efforts. He was specially invited by the principal of school IsaoAso, said a message received on Tuesday.


The ambassador acknowledged the excellent work being done by Pakistani academics and said that they could contribute immensely in image building and creating a bridge between people of the two countries.


He stressed that such unity and fusion of purpose would be extremely beneficial and accordingly has invited the sister government organisations present in Japan including NBP and PIA.
