STAFF REPORT BAHAWALPUR: A one-day workshop has recently been organized jointly by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre Faisalabad and Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan.


Purpose of the workshop was to orient the faculty members about the basic of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and the essential requirements for its protection.


Participant of the workshop learned about the importance of IP rights, copyrights, patents, Industrial design, trade secrets, drafting and filling of patent application.


Prof. Dr. QaiserMushtaq, Vice Chancellor, Islamia University of Bahawalpur, inaugurated the workshop while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh, Member Science Pakistan Science Foundation, Director General, PASTIC, gave the introductory remarks. On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq shared his views about significance and requirement of such kind of activities and appreciated the efforts in arranging the activity.
