STAFF REPORT LHR: Business School, University of Central Punjab (UCP), has recently organised the third two-day International Research Conference on the theme “Innovations in Business: Opportunities and Challenges of Emerging Markets”.


Prominent academics and researchers – national and international – and a wide range of corporate representatives from large national and multinational companies attended the event.


Prof. Rajneesh Narula from Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK, was the keynote speaker while Dr. Naubahar Sharif from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology gave a splendid presentation on corporate innovation in emerging economies and the history of technological leadership of China.


Earlier, Dr Muhammad Zafarullah, Conference Chair and the Pro-Rector UCP, highlighted the key challenges that businesses in the country face in carrying out research and development and commercializing innovation.
