STAFF REPORT LHR: Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) worth more than Rs 25 million have been signed between Pakistan and Chinese companies during the Pakistan-China Business Forum and business meetings in China. More than thousand business to business meetings have taken place there.


Various Chinese industrial sectors from automobile, electronics, heavy machinery and manufacturers were aggressively looking for Pakistani companies counterparts. The Pakistan-China Business Forum 2016, an initiative taken by the COMSATS, has attracted more than 700 Chinese to Pakistan for consolidating the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) investment portfolio. Moreover, more than 50,000 visitors paid their visit to Expo Centre to attend the forum.


The Business Forum started with same zeal and zest as was the first day. Exhibition opened for public at 10:00 am. Chinese delegates were very enthusiastic for their stalls and setups which actually surrounded the business of entire world including paper, furniture, a vast advertisement of electronics and technology, logistics and technical individuals were also part of forum.


Various Pakistani companies from all sectors including national, multination, SMEs, entrepreneurs and universities were able to showcase their products through this platform. German companies like 8.2 are also part of this forum which are developing renewable energy resource projects in Pakistan such as hydel and solar.
