LAHORE (26-05-17): The new office-bearers of the Teaching Staff Association (TSA) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore were sworn in here on Friday.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the oath-taking ceremony and administered oath to the office-bearers. The newly elected office-bearers are Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf (president), Dr Noor Khan (vice-president), Dr Rana Muhammad Ayub (general secretary), Rafia Kiran Zahid (joint secretary) and Dr Muhammad Tayyab (finance secretary).

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor urged the new office-bearers to work for the welfare and development of the teaching staff of the university. He also lauded the efforts of UVAS faculty members and their services for the development of university. He asked the faculty to bring innovative ideas and submit maximum research projects for funding from donor agencies. He said that there ample opportunities in livestock/agriculture in the Pak-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) and we should get maximum benefit from them. He said that UVAS is progressing due to the collective efforts of all the university employees.

Dr Kamran Asharf talked about the welfare steps of the university faculty. He lauded the role of UVAS teaching staff, who are working day and night for the progress of the university. He appreciated the university leadership’s dynamics role for the development of the university. He also talked about the various academic, research trainings, development projects and infrastructure development and achievements of UVAS.
