Modern Energy Management (MEM) said they contracted to provide project management services during the construction of the 50-MW Hawa wind farm in Pakistan.

The Thai project management firm and Canadian renewable energy company JCM Power are working on the wind farm. MEM recommended JCM Power on investing in the Pakistani wind market, identified the Hawa project, conducted preliminary due diligence and helped the investor de-risk the project after financial close.

The wind farm will be in the Sindh Valley, will use GE wind turbines and is expected to begin generating power by 2018. Construction managed by HDEC, a subsidiary of Power China. MEM said.
