Pakistan has faced a lot of turmoil relating to law and order from past many years. The two-major tech based steps have been taken to enable police and other law-enforcement agencies to deal with imperative challenges like terrorism and other crimes.

The first step is the computerization of the Punjab’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). All the 26 registers such as register one (FIR), register two (daily journal) and register 10 (surveillance register) was digitalized secondly.

Crime Mapping (CM) Software produced by PTIB to help police resolving cases pending for a long time.

The software named “Hotel Eye Software” is mandatory for all hotels in Lahore to keep the record of people staying in a hotel.

To eradicate corruption wholly from Punjab, the same CM Software will account for the corruption in the Police Department and report to the relevant department. This has added real-time monitoring of Police Stations and online FIR system. To ensure the presence of police staffs, biometric attendance system is being used.
