CPEC Consortium of Business Schools launched under CPEC project in which Pakistan and China have collaborated, announced by HEC (Higher Education Commission of Pakistan) in a 2-day conference held at NUST (National University of Science and Technology).

Partnership aimed to increase academic collaboration and contribute to resolving issues related to economics and management in Pakistan and China. Business schools taking part in this CPEC Consortium will have the chance to help the governments of respective countries in the development, operation, and run of CPEC.

Chinese universities like Fudan University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Nanjing University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China and Zhejiang University are part of this CPEC Consortium.

Pakistan institutions are Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), and University of the Punjab.

Interior minister of Pakistan Ahsan Iqbal attended the meeting as well as by China Association of Higher Education (CAHE) President Du Yubo.

“The CPEC Consortium of Business Schools will another step towards successful execution of China Pakistan Economic Corridor that is a beginning of a new era in the region”, said Ahsan Iqbal while speaking at the conference.
