Punjab government is permitting drone technology for farmers to increase output, increase agriculture indirectly improve the economy.

Farmers that are interested in using drone technology have to submit an application to the Deputy Director of agriculture for the permit. Permission letter will be granted to the farmer if the farming land was approved after being analyzed.

Drone is an aerial vehicle or an aircraft without any man or making it simpler it is a flying robot that can be controlled remotely. It can fly by using its GPS and sensors.

Farmers can have a whole survey of their land, know that which area needs spraying and any other geographical or weather changes in the field. Biological and environmental data collected by drones can predict the quantity and quality of agriculture foods and can be increased.

Using drones in short time, cost, labor, water farmer can bring betterment in irrigation system.

As agriculture is the backbone of the economy of Pakistan. Relating farmers to the technological advancements is the need of the time. They should be educated about how technology can be incorporated in agriculture to increase yield.

If we look at past ‘tractors’ was also an alien concept and no one was ready to change the traditional system and use tractors for plowing and planting.  People with the passage of time adopted the technology.
