Federal Minister for science and technology & Defense Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain met with the special assistant to president of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E Mr. Vladimir Norov and his delegation at Islamabad.

The delegates told the Minister that Uzbekistan is focusing on research and technical education. Including Al-Khwarizmi university of information technology Tashkent, largest IT institution in central Asia, they have established 78 world-class institutions.

The Uzbek delegation also discussed Uzbekistan’s work on preservation of Muslim cultural heritage, via digitization of all existing records. They also requested for the cooperation of Pakistan in this respect.

Rana Tanveer said that Pakistan always valued terms with Uzbekistan and look forward to further working relationships, especially in science and technology.

“Scientific research institutions “and a quality research is there in Pakistan that can help both countries to explore the possibilities of partnership to further enhance the cooperation.

The existing level of cooperation in both countries is appreciated. Both sides are equally interested to develop it to further level.

Moreover, in order to identify more areas of cooperation, both countries also stressed on the need for frequent exchange of visits by the scientists and researchers.
