This year in Pakistan the Internet is increasing rapidly. 3G/4G users had crossed the range of 47 Million in Pakistan as per Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announcement.

As compared to the statistics of last month the number of 3G/4G users has increased to one Million.

With the surge in popularity of smartphones mobile usage had become larger and larger. In October, 2017 the number of mobile phone users reached 143 Million marks and will expand until the end of 2017.

Among the four telecom operators of Pakistan, the top-notch telecom operator is Jazz having 53.5 Million users. Telenor Pakistan has 41.2 Million users followed by Zong with 29.8 Million users. However, Ufone with only 18.8 Million users is at the bottom of the list.

There are total 50 Million users in Pakistan when it comes to broadband subscribers. The leading telecom operators providing the best 4G services in Pakistan is Zong. The only telecom operator with no license to 4G technology in Pakistan is Ufone.

In the race of 3G technology, Jazz is leading the other telcos companies in Pakistan.

All the telecom operators providing the mobile broadband services have added a massive increase in the subscriber’s rate in Pakistan. 4G LTE speeds are declining globally and Pakistan has been ranked at the bottom of the list revealed from the reports of Open signal recently.

This report puts a question mark on Pakistan’s IT and Telecom regulators and network providers that they must expand their efforts to boost 4G/LTE services in Pakistan.
