MOST: Federal Minister Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain talked about the initiative of the government to build technology in all major cities of Pakistan.

Mr. Rana told in a meeting with Secretary-General, UNESCAP, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar that Ministry of Science and Technology has started new projects to promote research culture and innovation in Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Science and Technology Federal Secretary Yasmin Masood and other senior officials from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST).

Federal Minister added that on this research initiative, NUST and COMSATS are already working. He also requested that UNESACAP for their technical assistance in these initiatives.

The role of Ministry of Science and Technology to promote startups, entrepreneurs, research, and innovation culture in Pakistan was highly praised by Dr. Shamshad Akhtar. She also assured UNESACAP’s support to Pakistan to build better connectivity and socio-economic developments for Pakistan.

She also requested Federal Minister, Mr. Rana to give them a list of best researchers and scientists of Pakistan for the development of science and technology globally.
