GDP growth Dr. Salman Shah former finance minister said that to achieved benefits from CPEC, improvement is needed in Pakistan GDP growth and both the establishment and political parties agree upon this point.

“To boost the economy Pakistan needs to improve its governance the Pakistan economy can touch $700 to $1000 billion by 2025 from the current size of $300 billion with the help of CPEC the fate changer. Dr. Salman Shah who is also under consideration for incoming caretaker, told the participants.

By 2025, the trade volume will go high from $700 billion, foreign direct investment (FDI) to $50 billion with 50% coming form china Dr Shah addressing the diplomatic crops belonging to other countries and Europe. He also said that the agreement between the government to government and government to business as well as business to business must have signed and 500 manufacturing joint venture between Pakistan, MNCs and China over the next one decade.

Through CPEC project Pakistan will become the core of economic activities in Asia and in many other countries and Europe can also get benefits from the CPEC. 25 Million new job opportunities will be created through the CPEC.

He said that Pakistan should change its diverse areas of the economy to receive the rewards lying from CPEC. The CPEC has turned out to be global, from which our region including Afghanistan and some state of India can also get benefits.

On this occasion, Farhat Ali, President Swiss Business Council said that they were making efforts to promote bilateral trade ties, good relation and six SMEs are going to come into Pakistan very soon. He said the CPEC possessed opportunities for European and other companies.
