Chinese academia of Nanjing tech university (NTU) and Ghulam Ishaq khan institute of engineering and technology (GIKI) exchange their views on expending their collaboration by launching joint research projects.

Prof Dr Chen Zhikuan, Prof Dr Gao Deging and Professor Meng Hong from Peking University pay two-day visit to GIKI and met Jehangir Bashar, Rector GIKI prof Dr Jameelun Nabi pro-rector academics deans and head of the department and students at the university.

Both the universities has already worked together on the joint research project Graphene composite solid state electrolyte for Lithium battery funded by National Natural Science foundation of China and Pakistan science foundation. Prof Khasan S karimov the one who make this project possible said that the universities would soon launched more research projects.

The rector said that if the Chinese students come to study in GIKI they would get free education and facilities. The academia of both the universities agree to continue their collaboration with each other to achieve concrete results.

Presentation given to the visitor about the undergraduate and graduate programmes, disciplines of engineering and management sciences, research activities etc.

Prof Meng Hong said, “We are in a long term relation with GIKI which will boost our collaboration and will prove helpful for the students and teachers of both the universities.
