A private transport company will be launching China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) bus service on 3rd November 2018. This Pakistan-China bus service will foster the good ties between China and Pakistan.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a flagship project of President Xi’s One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative involving a massive investment of over $60 billion in infrastructure projects in Pakistan.

To recall, the CPEC project was started in 2015 and has a total cost of USD 50 billion. It covers a network of roads, railways and energy projects and connects China’s Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region with Pakistan’s Gwadar Port located strategically on the Arabian Sea.

The aim of the luxurious bus service is to facilitate easier travel between the two neighbours. The bus route will be from Lahore to Kashgar (China), engaging people into astonishing and eye-catching views of Northern areas of Pakistan on the journey.The 30-hour road trip will cost Rs 13,000 for one-way and Rs 23,000 for return ticket.

People have already started to book their seats for this exciting journey.As per schedule issued by authorized operator, the bus service will run four days a week from Lahore to Tashkurgan.

The departure from Lahore would be on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday while departure from Tashkurgan would be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The passengers can book their seats either from Lahore or Rawalpindi and Islamabad.It offers premium and luxurious buses, comfortable journey, better en-route services that include breakfast, lunch, dinner refreshment beverages, tea, and snacks, while fast Wi-Fi service would also provided throughout the journey.

Only 20KG of luggage will be allowed with a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage per passenger allowed. Extra weight will be charged separately. You will also need your Passport, NIC, Valid Visa, and original invitation from China in order to travel on the bus.

The CPEC is intended to rapidly modernize Pakistani infrastructure and strengthen its economy by the construction of modern transportation networks, numerous energy projects, and special economic zones.
