Microsoft founder and well-known billionaire Bill Gates has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan said that they will explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.

The letter was delivered by Dr Christopher Elias, President of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Development Division, along with DG World Health Organization (WHO) Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreye.

Prime Minister Imran Khan articulates commitment of his government for complete eradication of polio from the country. Furthermore, PM appreciated the WHO role in health-care systems and expressed expectation that WHO would continue as a reliable partner in government efforts to improve health amenities in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Khan reiterated that the government is decisive to put into practice a transformative social and economic agenda for a ‘New Pakistan’ and committed to move forward on sustainable development agenda.

Dr Tedros Adhanom during the meeting, communicate that WHO had enlarged its focus on public health, country-level impacts and bringing improvements in people’s admittance to health-related knowledge and information. WHO has significantly augmented level of support in Pakistan, for the most part due to intensified activities of the polio eradication initiatives.
