Cancer Research Center Soon erect at Punjab varsity

A two day Group of Intellectuals and Researchers of Pakistan (GRIP’s) second international symposium held at Punjab University Faisal Auditorium with reference to cancer sciences, pharmaceutical, research, oncology, food-agricultural sciences and technology by national and international organizations.

The symposium, exhibition jointly structured by Group of Intellectuals and Researchers of Pakistan (GRIP), Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, Punjab Food Authority, Punjab Health Department, Surgical Oncology Society, various pharmaceutical companies academic and research institutions.

Professor Niaz Ahmad Punjab University Vice Chancellor has announced to establish cancer research center at Punjab University. A welcoming sign that academia and industry were joining hands in this regard.

Prof Niaz added that there was need of working against cancer at national level and it is the obligation of the institutions of research and higher erudition to dole out humanity.

Higher authorities are obliged to work for providing reasonably priced medicine to cure such diseases to put a stop to severe hazards. He appreciated the efforts of Dr Zeeshan Danish for launching Pakistan Cancer Awareness Program (P-CAP) to create awareness among people adjacent to the disease.

Dr Zeeshan Danish chief organizer, Dr Hamid Saeed, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Taqi Zahid Butt, Institute of Agricultural Sciences Director Prof Dr Saleem Haider, Chief Medical Officer Dr Tahseen Zameer, senior faculty members, legislative body of diverse pharmaceutical companies and manufacturing institutions and a bulky number of students were there on the international symposium.
