The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has approved Rs 1800 million for the establishment of new building of University of Baltistan Skardu.

The Vice Chancellor of University of Baltistan Skardu, Professor Dr. Naeem disclosed that HEC grant Rs 1800 million for University and added that university whole infrastructure would be completed for this amount in next three years.

The work on this project would be started in April as project contact has been awarded to a well known company of the country. While giving further information, he started that concerned company has nearly 150 engineers and they also work on town planning.

 “Currently university has no its own building, though work on this project would start soon.” Government has given 1500 kanals land for the University, he added. He stated that university has nine departments included BS Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematic, MBA, BBA, BSC, B-ED, and BS.

To a question, he declared that 50000MW electricity could be produced through the help of small hydro project. He showed his commitment to make this University one of the best education institutions of the country.

University of Baltistan is the only higher educational institution of the country which is completely based on E-Technology. The main goal is to serve both the process and innovation through technology.
