MoU Signing Ceremony between SDPI and CSRP

Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a youth led think tank Center for Sustainability Research & Practice (CSRP) to establish and facilitate mutual cooperation in research and the exchange of technical and scientific information and expertise in order to lift young population of the country.

CRSP is a youth led independent think tank working towards sustainable development and global goals. The Center is a non-partisan think-tank based at The University of Lahore. 

Executive Director, SDPI Dr. Abid Qaiyum Suleri and Naseem Khan Achakzai, Executive Director, CSRP, on behalf of their respective organizations signed the MoU on Friday here at the SDPI in Islamabad. Under the MoU, both organizations agreed to develop joint research projects, conduct studies and exchange technical and scientific research techniques in addition to their published reports and studies.

Executive Director, SDPI Dr. Abid Qaiyum Suleri said that focusing and collaborating with a youth led think tank was mainly to engage youth in our research projects, especially on social entrepreneurship, to help equip young students with research and entrepreneurial skills. He said that both think tanks, can conduct joint research on issues of mutual interest such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change and youth development etc.

Naseem Khan Achakzai, Executive Director, CSRP said that with a network strength of over 45000 young students the center aimed at creating the equality and bridging the gap between youth from all over the country. He said this MoU with SDPI would be utilized to empower and strengthen the youth through shared knowledge, practices, opportunities and aspirations. The agreement would also explore the opportunities for working towards achieving United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, he added.
