Punjab University launches tree plantation drive

Global warming badly affecting our environment, to avoid devastation a massive tree plantation drive desires. In this regard, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir has launched tree plantation campaign.

About 15,000 trees plant at the university’s College of Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES). The VC also issued instructions to all the faculty members and employees to plant trees on campus and look after the trees until they are tune-up.

The Vice Chancellor said that trees assured healthy environment and essential for a healthy life. He said that the university had introduced green campus program for saving environment.

Punjab University, CEES Principal Prof Dr Sajid Rashid said the college had launched several campaigns for environment protection and awareness and was being created among all stakeholders. We must made efforts to defend our environment because the future of our next generations was linked with clean environment.
