Mir Chakkar Khan Rind University of Technology to be established in Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan division situated on the western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
For the formation of a technology university, the Punjab assembly passed a bill and definitely it’s an appreciated grant by the government of Punjab to the people of Southern Punjab to propel the youth abilities.
Mian Aslam Iqbal Punjab minister for industry and trade had presented the bill of the DG Khan University. Approx. Rs2.3 billion project is intended to indorse research for producing quality technical human resource.
The project of Mir Chakar Rind University of Technology was encompassed in the annual development programme of 2019-2020 and the chore on the project would start soon.
At the preliminary stage, four technology subjects would be imparted in the university including electrical, mechanical and civil engineering and computer technology.
The Bill reads “The Bill seeks to establish Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology Dera Ghazi Khan for purposes of teaching, training, research and for the application, advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the field of technology. The University shall provide avenues of higher education in the field of technical education. The establishment of the University is expected to produce high quality technologists to meet the needs of modern day industry especially in the wake of launch of CPEC.”
