Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Hussain chaired a meeting in Islamabad with regard to the establishment of Media University with dedicated technological hubs to endow the future generations of Pakistan.

Information Minister said Media University is being established by amalgamation of PTV, PBC and Information Service Academies into one state of the art landmark University.

He added that course of study would be craft in consultation with all stakeholders, covering wide range of subjects including the courses on drama production, film and cinema studies.

The students will not only be communicate education about news and other journalistic disciplines, but would also be trained in the best digital technological practices prevalent in the media sector, he added.

The Minister desired for Chinese telecom company Huawei’s assistance and partnership in the endeavor of chartering technical school as part of the Media University.

Country Head Huawei Saif Chi showed his keen interest to make contribution to the project and briefed the meeting in detail regarding company’s ongoing collaboration with different educational institutes in Pakistan.
