Thar coal-power plants inauguration on April 10

The formal inauguration ceremony of power generation on two Thar-Coal power plants is going to be initiate on April 10th in line with the jingle “dream of Roshan Thar, Roshan Sindh and Roshan Pakistan.”

Thar coal-power plants inauguration on April 10The ceremonial keeps historical significance because the project was conceived and founded by then Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and her PPP government in Sindh and after 22 years of effort going to commenced.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah disclosed that under the inauguration plan, the coal will be lifted from the coal mine, Block-II and poured in the boilers of power plants to produce electricity.

The produced power would be pumped in the national grid laid through a transmission line made from Thar to Matiari. “This would be a historic activity of power generation,” Shah said.

The Thar coal power plant to generate 660 MW of electricity on Thar coal. The Thar coal power projects by now brought prosperity to the people of Thar and after power generation, its reimbursement would supplementary dribble down to the entire of the province and the country.
