The 121st Convocation of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) was held at it’s Sahiwal Campus. In which 844 degrees were awarded to the graduating students while 43 medals were also awarded to students for their academic achievement.
Provincial Minister of Agriculture Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial was the chief guest while Rector CUI Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar was Guest of Honor and members of Board of Governors and Academic Council were also present.
In his address, Nauman Ahmad Langrial congratulated the students and their parents for their hard work.
The Minister termed these students ‘future leaders’ of Pakistan and ‘agents of change’ for better future of the country.
He said no one could isolate Pakistan because of its effective policies under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Rector CUI, Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, acknowledged the outgoing graduates for their outstanding results.
He said Knowledge-based economy is the key to progress in today’s world and if we want to bring our nation out of poverty, we have to promote education, knowledge and reduce poverty as has been done by China.
Regarding this event, Director COMSATS Sahiwal Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat Said, “CUI is one of the best universities of Pakistan and recently it took 1st place in ranking of Times Higher Education World University Rankings”.
“I also want to thank all the respected personality for their participation in the event and congratulate the successful students with the prayers for their better future”.
The Minister awarded degrees to 844 students at the convocation. Forty-Three (43) students were also awarded medals for academic achievement.
On this occasion large number of faculty, staff, administration, management, students including alumina and parents were present.
