Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) working under ORIC, Isra University, Hyderabad organized a Grand Finale of Business Plan Competition, 2019 at Asadullah Kazi Auditorium, Isra University, Hyderabad.
The objective of this session was to brainstorm investment ideas that may contribute in economic growth and development of Pakistan. It was a national level contest to inspire innovative entrepreneurship ideas for venture funding and business growth.
After excessive rounds of shortlisting, only 17 teams out of 59 teams were shortlisted and were able to present their ideas in the final round. Teams were from Mehran University of Science and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro, Al-Hamd Academy, Hyderabad Institute of Arts, Science & Technology (HiAST), Sindh University Jamshoro, Virtual University, Institute of Modern Sciences and Arts (IMSA) and Isra University, Hyderabad. Out of 17 teams, three teams were awarded with first, second and third positions and one team was awarded for consolation award.
The respected judges awarded 1st Prize to the team of Mehran University of Science & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro entitled as “Turning The Textile Trash into Cash”, 2nd prize was awarded to the team of Hyderabad Institute of Arts, Science & Technology (HiAST) entitled as “Digital Point-Service”, 3rd prize was awarded to the team of Isra University, Hyderabad entitled as “Herbario Blendz” and consolation award to the team of Sindh University Jamshoro entitled as “Biogas Company.”
The respected judges were Dr. Vishnu Parmar (Associate Professor, IBA, University of Sindh, Jamshoro), Mr. Bilal Memon (Regional Manager, Atlas Honda, Hyderabad) Mr. Zeeshan Abro (Director, Verge Systems, Hyderabad), Dr. Zahid Khanzada (Assistant Professor, Isra University, Hyderabad) and Ms. Yasra Aslam (Assistant Professor, Isra University, Hyderabad).
