The renowned educationist vice-chancellor of the University of Karachi Professor Dr Ajmal Khan expired on early Saturday morning as of suffering from cardiovascular ailment.
Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan, who had a 40-year elongated career in teaching, completed his Bachelors in Science degree, dedicate himself in Botany in 1973, and his Masters done in 1974.
Then, in 1985, he completed his PhD in Physiological Ecology from Ohio University, United States and DSc in botany in 2010 by Karachi University.
Prof Khan was appointed the 17th vice-chancellor (VC) of the University of Karachi (KU) for four years on Jan 23, 2017.
The eminent scholar had also been awarded the Pride of Performance award on 2001 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2007 in recognition of his contribution in the field of science.
The prominent services and contribution of Dr Ajmal Khan in the field of education would never be forgotten as he is always remembered as a flare of light and source of inspiration for the upcoming generations.
