Dr.Kiani notable efforts for AMD in Punjab, Sindh

Dr Muhammad Mohsin Kiani Director, livestock value chain at CNFA did remarkable contributions to the USAID funded U.S Pakistan partnership for Agricultural Market Development (AMD), implemented by CNFA from February 2015 till June 2019 in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh.

Dr.Kiani notable efforts for AMD in Punjab, SindhThe Agricultural Market Development (AMD) aimed to improve the ability of Pakistan’s agricultural and livestock sectors across four value chains namely Livestock, High-value Off-season Vegetables, citrus and mango sectors to compete in the International and National markets.

During this tenure, the livestock $26.5 million increase in sales whereas, $8.2 million hike in exports. High-value off-season vegetables $1.1 million increase in sales whereas, $0.6 million hike in exports.

Moreover, mango sector $8.3 million increase in sales while $5.4 million increase in exports. The fourth value chain citrus sector $45.7 million increase in sales while $44.2 million increase in exports.

Concerning on this matter, Dr. Mohsin Kiani led strong linkages with all commercial stakeholders of the livestock industry that ultimately add value to the agricultural market in Pakistan.
