3rd provincial conference on Renewable Energy

Energy Think Tank (ETT) holds 3rd inter provincial conference held at LUMS the day long workshop was geared towards promoting alternative and renewable energy projects in the country, discuss its contours, bring up issues confronting the current energy mix and enhance the share of alternative renewable energy versus the fossils fuel energy thereby achieving the goals of energy Sustainability, Security.

The provincial conference workshop was organized in collaboration with the Government of Punjab, LUMS, Vestas and Descon.

It is worth mentioning here that the ETT formed recently is a group of professionals from across the Energy Sector Value chain and its ancillary service entities,  who have voluntarily gathered on bipartisan basis with the principle aim of building consensus among stakeholders and enriching  pool of cross functional knowledge data base that leads to optimised solutions for Pakistan’s energy sector on a sustainable basis”

This forum is providing opportunities through interactive workshops and conferences to exchange of ideas and propose recommendations for resolving persisting issues of the energy sector at both provincial and national level. ETT holds first conference in peshawar and Quetta.

The conference among others was attended by DG NEPRA, Dr. Naveed Arshad Director Lums, Xu Hong Chang GM, Zonergy Energy Co Ltd, Nauman Ahmed Lums, Imtiaz Baloch with his legal team,

Senior Manager  PPIB Faisal Sharif, legal and Sr officials of Punjab Power Development Board (PPDB), NTDC, Mujahid Pervaiz Chatha CEO of LESCO, MEPCO, Dr Naveed Arshad of LUMS , prof Dr M. Noor of GCU, Prof Saqib of UET Lahore,Punjab Energy Efficiency Conservation  Authority (PEECA), Fouzan waheed from vestas, Siemens, investors, Shaikh Mohammed Ali, Rana M. Amjad, Ibrahim Shah, Gul Hassan Bhutto and M.Naeem Qurrshi represented ETT.
