Digital skills programme set to empower KP youth

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) in collaboration with Abacus Consulting are set to train and empower the youth of KPK to start off their careers with advanced digital skills under ‘KP Youth Employment Program’.

Dr Shahbaz Khan, Managing Director, KPITB explained “KPITB intends to minimize the industry-academia skills gap by offering Advanced Digital Skills training that can enhance employability in a changing econom.” 

The joint venture programme will coach 1200 candidates (at least 30% women) on modern skills with consideration of the market trends and job opportunities.

The digital KP skills courses offered are;

  • Amazon Web Services [AWS Foundation, AWS Solutions Architect – Associate]
  • Microsoft Azure [MCSD: Web Applications]
  • Big Data Analytics [Cloudera Certified Associate (CCA Data Analyst)]

Big Data training’s and certifications in Pakistan has built associations with high-tech industries to place resources in domain of Big Data and Analytics.

Moreover, providing mentorship to the trainees for their certifications and in the end organizing Digital Talent Expo event to infuse the KP youth with industry.
