Executive Director of COMSATS University Dr.S.M Junaid Zaidi said Pakistan could profoundly progressing in the field of S&T (science and technology) due to the talent and potential it had owned.
He further said COMSATS university had a great potential to sharpen the world by depending on S&T for development and prosperity of the people in the less developed countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
He briefed media that the Commission on Science & Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) was going to celebrate its Silver Jubilee in next month. It plans to organized a summit in connection with its celebration of silver jubilee at Ghana on October 29, 2019.
Ghana, country of western Africa, is one of the leading countries of Africa. It is situated on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea.
President of Ghana, Mr. Nana Akufu Addo who is also the current Chairperson of COMSATS University would be chairperson in the fourth heads of states and governments meeting.
The executive director of COMSATS University along with his delegation would participate in this meeting. Agenda of the meeting would be as follows, to improve the outreach of COMSATS across the globe and plan for developing ways to generate more interest of the developed countries in rising their level of cooperation with countries of the South.
