Chairman Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) Dr. Muhammad Aslam, and Zonal Chairman PPA (Northern) Dr. Arshad Hanif Ch issued directives to celebrate, World egg day 2019 in all over Pakistan in a very organized manner on 13th October, 2019 under the supervision of Ex-Chairman PPA Mr. Khalid Saleem Malik.
In Pakistan, this year PPA celebrated World egg day on vast level with great zest at different cities of Pakistan. Brief documentary on nutritional benefits of Eggs was prepared on this occasion and shown on Channel City 042, City 041 and cable channels in all over Pakistan during the whole day.
The purpose of organizing World egg day is to make the general public aware of the nutritional value of eggs and its importance for human health.
Activities such as walks, egg cooking competition, press conference and egg distribution done on World Egg Day in Pakistan.
In Central Chairman PPA Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Ex-Chairman PPA Dr. Muhammad Sadiq & Mr. Khalid Saleem Malik and Director Poultry Research Institute (PRI) Dr. Abdul Rehman arranged and took participation in programs held in various parts of Rawalpindi i-e Poultry Research Institute Rawalpindi (PRI), Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (AAUR) and Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
Members of PPA Rana Saleem Akhtar, Rana Rauf Anwar, Haji Altaf Haider and Haji Mukhtar Ahmed along with member CEC took participation in the programs held in In Faisalabad.
Southern Zonal Chairman PPA (Zone) Ch. Muhammad Ashraf and Member CEC Mr. Abdul Maroof Siddiqui and other senior members arranged & took participation in various programs organized in Karachi. Main event held at Public Secondary School Karachi
Northern PPA arranged the awareness walk in collaboration with UVAS in Lahore participated by large number of students and teachers. Chairman PPA (Northern) Dr. Arshad Hanif chaired the seminar attended by teachers of UVAS, officials of PPA, representatives of poultry industry and students. Another celebration took place at SOS Village with Orphans. They also distributed boiled eggs and served egg dishes amongst the orphans of SOS Village. Dr. Arshad Hanif addressed at the occasion.
Northern PPA held a press conference at Press Club Lahore where prominent personalities of PPA were present. A large number of journalists attended the ceremony. Egg dishes were served amongst the journalists.
The Chairman said at press conference that it is all too easy to take eggs for granted but they really are nature’s ultimate source of high quality protein. With an estimated one billion undernourished people across the globe. Eggs have the power to help feed the world.
World Egg Day celebrated in various parts of Pakistan i – e Sialkot, Multan, Peshawar, Sargodha, Sakrand and Toba Tek Singh.
